Monique Olivier, Secretary
Picked up the surfing bug in France in the early 80s. Became involved in the surfing scene when moving to NZ in 1983, firstly as a committee member of the former Waitemata Surfing Association and subsequently through involvement with the development of women’s surfing and junior surfing in NZ.
Founding member of the Piha Wildcoast Boardriders Club and the
Surfbreak Protection Society. Former Waitakere Community Board
member. Editor of the Piha Community News for 17 years. Mother of
Nathan and competitive surfer Mischa Davis. Monique works full time
as a foreign languages teacher at Green Bay High School. Interests
are in politics, journalism and conservation.
