Coastal Field Trip for Uni students
17 Sep 11
Next week Surfbreak committee member and Coastal Planner Matt Skellern is leading a group of about 40 University of Auckland students to Raglan to show them the Whaingaroa catchment and the surf breaks.

Surbreak Protection Society is sponsoring the event. It is the first time that we know of that a group has approached a coastal field trip with the specific inclusion of surfbreaks in it’s itinerary. It is an exciting development.

The Raglan community has faced it’s share of controversial developments as well as environmental initiatives such as the planting around the surfing points
