Developers appeal Te Arai Decision

The inevitable decision by the developers to appeal the Rodney District Council’s plan change decision has been confirmed.

Te Arai Point is a wilderness that is rarely found near Auckland these days. The Rodney District Council’s decision to decline an application for a district plan change to allow development means that developers have inevitably appealed the decision. Their desire to develop a residential sub division at Te Arai has not been headed off yet.

Surfbreak is very disappointed by the developer’s appeal (but not surprised by it). The Rodney decision was seen as much a decision for common sense as much as anything else.

Let round 2 of the battle for Te Arai begin.
