Napier Reef faces the chop – locals unite
23 Sep 10
The little known but highly regarded Napier "City Reef" is in danger of extinction as a result of a breakwater construction plan. Some locals are taking on the district authority but need all locals to have their voice heard and take a stand against it. For how to make a submission and who to contact stay tuned.

Send us an email if you know more or want to help. See our contact us page.

Remember, 2500 submissions were sent to Coromandel Council against development of New Chums beach and 1600 were sent to Rodney Council (north of Auckland) against the Te Arai (near Mangawhai Heads) development plan.

As a result of these campaigns the TV networks even took an interest, so don’t think it’s not worth having your say.
